Infante Sano, Spanish for Healthy Infant, is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the health and well-being of mothers and newborns in Latin America and the Caribbean. Every year throughout the developing world, over 10 million mothers and children die during pregnancy, childbirth and the first month of life. Providing simple, effective, low-cost interventions could prevent over half of these deaths. Infante Sano has designed a program that partners with existing hospitals and clinics to provide life-saving trainings and necessary medical equipment. Our core values - Respect, Improve, Sustain, Empower - drive our programs, which appropriately build upon local capacity, promote sustainability, and recognize every person's right to basic health care.
